Beware Of False Room Offers/Company Impersonation
As a Workshop 2026 exhibitor, you may receive emails and phone calls from third-party vendors offering discounted housing and attendee lists. These groups are in no way affiliated with the New Jersey School Boards Association, and their claims of having access to rooms and attendee information are false. NJSBA cannot guarantee any hotel rooms that are not booked through our official housing provider, AC Central.
Your contact information is not shared publicly and is provided only to the approved Convention Center vendors included in our 2026 Exhibitor Manual and Decorator Kit. These vendors include AEX Convention Services, AC Central, Encore, Smart City, and Oakview Hospitality Group.
Fraudulent Tactics & Next Steps
- Hotel Booking Scams: Unauthorized companies may call or email, pretending to be the official housing bureau offering discounts. Only use the official booking links provided by AC Central.
- Fraudulent Attendee List Sales: Scammers often claim they have the attendee list (including email addresses). NJSBA does not sell attendee lists.
- Do not click links or reply to unsolicited emails.
- Forward and verify any correspondence with NJSBA directly at sales@njsba.org.
- Report scammers to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
Please contact NJSBA directly if you have any questions or concerns.
