Access the Workshop 2022 Hub and Review Your Speaker Information

Log in Now

pre-workshop Preparation

  • Log in to the Workshop Hub
  • If you submitted the proposal, use the same login information on the Workshop 2022 Hub website.  
    • If you did not submit the proposal, you will need to create your own login.
    • If you do not already have a login, please enter your email address and click “forgot password.”
  • Review the information for the sessions for which you have received approval. 
    • Click on the Title Session to view the description that we will use to promote your session. Conference attendees select sessions based on the information provided, so please be sure that your presentation accurately reflects the written description. 
    • Please note that the date, time, or room is tentative at this time.  
    • Review the speaker(s) name, title and district/company name. If any information is not accurate, please email changes to [email protected] as soon as possible but no later than October 10, 2022. Changes sent after this date will not be made. 
  • Click on “My Speaker Profile” to ensure that the information is accurate.  
    • Please include your complete company/BOE name. 
    • You may add your picture or update your personal information at any time.  

Session Materials 

NJSBA promotes a sustainable conference and has worked to lower our carbon footprint.  As such, we are asking for the sessions to be paperless when possible.   

  • Upload your materials by October 19, 2022 to your Speaker Console on the Workshop 2022 Hub website. 
  • You are responsible for printing any materials that you would like to share with the attendees. 

WHen you arrive to Present

Room Set Up 

You are responsible for bringing your own laptop or digital device for your presentation.

The Group Session room setup will include:  

  • Wireless internet access for presenters and attendees.  
  • A screen and LCD projector (if you have a MAC or a device that does not have a HDMI port, please bring your own dongle/adapter)
  • A podium, microphone, and head table with four chairs. 
  • Theater style seating to maximize room capacity. 

The Action Lab room setup will include:  

  • Wireless internet access for presenters and attendees.  
  • A screen and LCD projector (if you have a MAC or a device that does not have a HDMI port, please bring your own dongle/adapter).
  • A podium, microphone, and head table with four chairs. 
  • Easel, large notepad and markers. 
  • Round tables designed for small group activities (30-60 attendees). 

Check In on Presentation Day 

  • Every presenter must check in with NJSBA staff members 30 minutes prior to the session’s start time. The presenter check-ins will be centrally located on the 3rd and 4th floors.  
  • All presenters/speakers must report to the Workshop Registration area located outside of HALL D prior to checking in for their session. You must have your WORKSHOP 2022 badge with you when you check in for your session.  
  • There is no speaker check-in for Learning Labs. Please arrive at your Learning Lab ten minutes early.

Tips for Creating an Engaging Presentation 

  • Connect your topic to the needs and experiences of your audience. 
  • Provide opportunities for attendees to interact with the content (e.g., ask questions, do quick activities). 
  • Create visually appealing PowerPoint slides (e.g., limit amount of text). 
  • Provide time for attendees to consider action steps that they may want to take. 
  • Identify any questions that board members may want to ask at board meetings. 
  • Leave time for attendees to ask questions.
