Student Group Instructions

The following instructions are for student groups that have been selected to appear at Workshop in one of the following categories: STEAM Tank finals, student performances, training sessions, EGaming, or the film showcase.


Pre-registration for student groups is coming soon. 


All student groups must park in the Atlantic City Convention Center bus lot. Drop-offs and U-turns in front of the Atlantic City Convention Center are strictly prohibited.

Please provide the following directions to your driver.

Directions/ Parking – Please use the following directions for the Convention Center: 

  • Take Atlantic City Expressway  
  • Take Exit 1  
  • Then Exit B (Bacharach Blvd/ Convention Center) 
  • Proceed down the ramp. 
  • At the 1st light (Ohio Ave.) make a right, then make another right into the bus lot. This turn comes up as soon as you turn at the light

Onsite Check-In

Students and chaperones must check-in at “Student Registration” located on the 2nd floor of the Atlantic City Convention Center, outside of Hall D. Upon checking in, student groups will be escorted to the exhibit floor, or directed to the appropriate classroom.

Student Code of Conduct

  • An adult chaperone or teacher must be with students at all times. 
  • Students must not walk the exhibit floor without a chaperone. 
  • Students are not permitted to collect giveaways from sponsors. 
  • Students must be chaperoned to and from bathrooms and lunch areas. 
  • Outside of performing or presenting, students must stay in the designated student lounge areas. 

Students may be disqualified from presenting or participating at future Workshop conferences if the protocol is not followed.

Photo Consent Forms

District contacts must send all signed student photo release forms back to NJSBA no later than Monday, Oct. 12.

STEAM Tank photo release forms are coming soon. 

Please upload all completed forms to the following Basecamp group in the appropriate folder. If you have students who wish to opt-out of all photos and videos, please let us know in advance.
